Welcome to Prek!

Hello and welcome to PreK!

I am so excited to finally announce I will be your Prek teacher for the 2021 school year! My name is Maggie Voytko or also known as Mrs. Voytko. A little about myself; I have been teaching at Discovery for 6 years now. Not only am I lucky enough to say I teach here, I actually attended this school from 3rd grade-6th grade. My love for our little school and education just seems to grow every year! This has driven me to pursue my Masters in Education that I will be finishing this spring. Right now my family is little with just my Husband, Andre and I…and soon to be baby Boy. But large in the sense when you add our 2 cats and 2 dogs to the mix! We love to spend our time on lakes and by fires. In the winter Snowtrails becomes our home away from home. My love to be outside plays a huge role in my love for our Prek program.

Along with myself, Mrs. Emily Volz will be in the Prek classroom acting as our amazing assistant teacher! We are so lucky to have her with us, she also teaches Art in the afternoons to the K-6th graders.

One detail that will be different than years past, is I am actually expecting our first baby boy on September 2nd! We are so lucky to have an amazing substitute lined up named Mary Price-Cornette. She has been at Discovery School for the past few years as a one-on-one aide and is so excited to join the world of Early learners! Before Discovery School Mary also worked at the Child Development Center at the local college. Mary will bring so much knowledge and love to our Prek friends. I plan on being at school as long as the baby will allow, so you will be seeing all three of us! (Crossing my fingers!)

The supply list below is a combination of the school wide and the classroom supplies. The items in bold are from the school wide list.
